We have done this with good results on many computers here by reinstalling it 7 it is actually possible to repair the browser with the I.e. Nevertheless this did not improve things much, pauses and sudden jumps still occur. To my surprise the 'Shockwave Flash Object' named 'Flash9e.ocx' was updated too! That one should not have needed updating after deleting the older Flash plugin with Adobe's latest universal uninstall utility and re-installing Flash for IE. In particular disabling Flash Player's ''protected mode ''may well help. Thanks for the tip (sorry, couldn't make much from the Swedish in the screenshots), I updated all the ActiveX Controls that could be updated. You need to do more than merely submit crash reports if you need assistance with a crash! There are workarounds for some of these issues. If you have crashes one step you could take is to start your own thread by asking a question.

It could be worth baring in mind that you may install more than one browser on a computer and so you could continue to use Firefox for day to day browsing, and use Chrome for Flash Player content.Īnd readers of the thread may be interested in :

If you have chosen to use Chrome then good luck although you may not have the same range of software extensions at least you will get an integrated FlashPlayer that may well be crash free. There are limits to what Mozilla Firefox may do as the FlashPlayer software is developed by another entity Adobe. In particular disabling Flash Player's protected mode may well help. Sorry you are unhappy with the situation.
